This October will mark 15 years since ACTS was kicked started with a BBQ in Hawaii Kai. The vision of ACTS was to simply form a community of genuine believers and seekers who desired to follow God's best for our lives and the lives of those He brings into our community. We modeled our small community after that of the early church of Acts described in Acts 2:42-47.
Although it has been over 8 years since ACTS officially ended, the relationships that God builds are meant to last for an eternity. I have been so blessed by each of you in our community over the years and look forward to worshiping, praying, sharing and fellowshipping once again with all of you! As most of you already know our retreat is coming up in November but we also have a couple of other events planned leading up to the retreat to catch up with one another.
First, Amber will be in town and wanted to have a get together to see everyone. Be sure to join us next week Sunday for a potluck at Magic Island. See detail below.
Please mark your calendars and be sure to join us for this upcoming retreat at Camp Mokule'ia on the weekend of November 6-8. We have reserved the Lodge which is a big 2 story house right on the beach with 18 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and a large meeting area. You can check out the pictures that I posted on our website. Please let me know if you will be able to join us. Better yet, if you are willing and able to help with the retreat, please join us in 3 weeks at the Wang's house for a retreat planning meeting. We will be ordering pizza so please let me know if you would like to join us. We will also be planning a worship night prior to the retreat to prepare our hearts before the Lord. Retreat Planning Get Together
On Saturday, August 29 @ 4:30 PM, we will be gathering at the Wang's to pray and discuss the vision of the upcoming retreat.
